So things are going pretty good. Not too much to report. Kat is developing well and most days are good ones! Just living, doing the best I can to juggle chores, meals, laundry, friends, family, time with hubby, appointments, church...etc. The life of a Stay At Home Mom! People have talked with me and are like It must be nice to stay at home all day and relax. I just laugh to myself when they say that! Kat hasn't even gotten to the mobile stage yet and I find myself busy! It is a learning experience every day and I think I will have all my ducks in a row when I'm 80! :)

I don't Know...

So, it's been about a month and a half since Kit Kat has been born. I can't believe how time flies! It's been challenging so far and I KNOW there will be more to come! She has been up more during the day and sleeping more at night so that's a plus! It has been a learning experience so far and I'm sure I will be learning until the day I die! I'm not sure how these women who have three or four at once can do it! There are days when I just have to put her in the crib and let her cry for a few minutes because I don't really/can't do anything else for her. I can't imagine three or four mouths crying like that! It's been hard because my hubby and I haven't really had any time to talk to eachother...I mean we talk but it's more like  this:

MM- Does she need her diaper changed?"
Hubby- Maybe
MM- Well, go check it and then I can feed her.
Hubby- Here you go.
MM- I'm doing this all day! You can change her.
You see where this is going so I'll spare you the details but let me just say it can get frustrating. I think once Kit Kat gets older, it will get better or worse...I guess we will see won't we!

I know I'm being kind of negative. Everyone keeps telling me it will get better...that's good news! That's all I have right now...:) Thanks for reading!

How it's going

Hi all!
Here are a few updates on what's been going on in our world for the past month...

Kit-Kat -
Our little girl has been doing good. The doctors appointments have been going well. Her next one is in a month or so. Mommy isn't looking forward to this one because she has to get her shots! I'm pretty sure it's harder on the parents than the children. It was hard enough when she had to have a skin tag tied off...the doctor was taking so long and Kit-Kat was screaming because it hurt and all I wanted to do was scoop her up in my arms and comfort her! She was all better once I started nursing her...that seems to make everything better. :) She hasn't been doing very much but her face has changed a lot since she was born and she is gaining weight. It's already been a month...man time has flown by already! Being up with her in the middle of the night just depends on how it's going that day. Sleep..cry..diaper change...cry..nurse...sleep...repeat :)

MM-
I've been doing pretty good. Being at home is a definite change for me but it's good for me to do. I'm working on losing all the baby weight I gained. I have 20 more pounds to go! It's hard to exercise when you have to nurse every hour or so and you're trying to get things done around the house. It will be better once we can get outside and go for walks. I will say that it is VERY nice cuddling with Kit-Kat and Flakey during the day though :) Just knowing that you have a person that totally feels safe and warm with you is VERY rewarding.

My hubby -
My hubby has been doing pretty good. He is on a volleyball team and is enjoying that even though they don't win very much. It's not all about that though...right? He has a good time. He is working full-time at CCCU and doing well there. He was in a commercial for his work and did a great job in it! I viewed it online. I haven't seen it on TV but my younger sis has! He has been doing really well with Kit-Kat and it is such a good feeling to know he is here and supports me. He's a good daddy! :) He always makes sure to say he loves me which is good to hear if it's been one of those sleepless, frustrating nights!

Well, right now this is how our life is going and I think we both are doing pretty darn good! That's all I have for right now...thanks for reading!

Baby girl is here!

Well folks...baby girl is here and she was born on her due date! It is so awesome to see her and know she is healthy and happy! We are still adjusting to the feedings and diaper changes. (we have had a couple blow outs so far!) I'll tell you what...breastfeeding is the best for baby if you are able to do it but it is challenging! I don't know if any of you moms out there have had this issue but the past few days there has been a time frame when baby girl just isn't satisfied with anything but nursing! I call her Elvira during this time because she is like a little vampire sucking like crazy! This goes on for a few hours ( 8pm-11pm) ...usually when I am ready to go to bed! (Go figure) I'm sure this is just a stage and she is growing so there is really nothing I am able to do about it but boy is it a challenge at times!

Another thing I'm trying to get through is where she is sleeping at night. I have been trying to  put her in the pack and play at night but she just isn't wanting to sleep anywhere but on mommy's chest! I know it is a bad habit to get into but when all you want your baby to do is sleep and you need to sleep it seems like the only option. If anyone has any advice on this subject...that would be awesome!

Well, that's all I have for right now...peace out for now!

Feburary

Wow, I'm pretty bad about getting on here and blogging! Oh well what can you do? I've been a little preoccupied! No baby yet but she will come...I'm hoping naturally not induced. You always hear people say how the first one may be a longer labor or how it might be late. I wish I could prove them wrong and have her on time...that would be awesome! Feburary 23rd...come on baby!

So, I have been off work all week and it has been nice to just have some time to myself! I know once baby girl comes...that is NOT going to happen so milk it for all it's worth is my motto right now!:) I have been able to somewhat sleep in, get laundry done, find a pediatrician and go get groceries so far this week! It's been really nice to go my own pace and not worry about getting up in the morning for work. The downfall is I received my last paycheck on Tuesday so now we will definitely be limited on spending. That's a good thing...we need to learn that! Life is good right now and it will be even better soon! Peace out for now!

Annoying Animals

Alright, does anyone out there understand what I'm talking about? For the past few weeks our cat has been VERY annoying and whiney! I don't get it, I mean I feed him and my hubby cleans his littler box. We give him attention but he still whines and wants to be right up in my face all the time! I try to do the laundry and he is right there at my feet. (I swear he purposely tries to trip me). I get on the computer and here he comes having to sit right beside me about 2 inches away form the keyboard.  I think he is starting to sense that there is a baby in me and he may be getting jealous already or something. It's funny to watch him when he is on my lap and the baby kicks! He will try to kneed my tummy down and meow. It's funny how animals react to change. Well, that's all I have for now! Thanks for reading!

The Holidays:)

The Holidays are almost at an end. Isn't it funny how some of us spend months preparing for a few days? This year's holidays for us went alright. I wasn't as excited about them as I usually am but that's alright. We were able to spend time with family and friends so that was good. The New Year is only a couple of days away and boy am I ready to start it! We will definitely have a different life once baby girl is born. I'm excited and scared about it. There are still things we need to get done but they will get done in due time.

We are VERY blessed. There's a roof over our heads, we have cars that get us from piont A to B, we have supportive friends and family, we have a good church home...etc. It's been a good year and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us! I will say that it is going to be challenging at times but everyone has challenges in life. That's what makes it life!  Have a great New Year's everyone!!
